As we wrap up National Agriculture Week 2019 (#AgDay19 Week), King-Pierce Farm Bureau would like to thank our member, David of Rotary First Harvest – a program of Rotary District 5030 for sharing why agriculture is important to communities and how farmers play an important role, along with organizations, in connecting their harvest directly to the people who need it the most so it doesn’t go to waste. Thank you to all of our Farming and Ranching Farm Bureau members in King and Pierce Counties for being part of our organization and local food system.
Young aspiring farmers with off the farm jobs still have a voice that is important to the future of agriculture. Ryan Collins works as an airplane mechanic while he’s not managing bees and helping with his family’s cattle and hay. Washington Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Program helps young farmers with similar goals focus on advocacy and achieving their futures in agriculture. #AgDay19
It’s National #AgDay19 Week! King-Pierce Farm Bureau is proud to feature the fifth generation siblings of Spooner Farms of Puyallup, WA, Sam and Becky. Preserving multi-generation farms is important to the future of agriculture in the Pacific Northwest.
First generation farmers are an important aspect of the future of agriculture in King and Pierce Counties and beyond. King-Pierce Farm Bureau represents all farmers, working to be a voice for local food security, safety, and economy. Thanks to Ryan at Steel Wheel Farm for being part of our #AgDay19 video week.
It’s National Agriculture Week! This week we will feature farmers from King and Pierce Counties who are members of King-Pierce Farm Bureau and Washington Farm Bureau. We celebrate all who contribute to agriculture, especially in Washington State which has a 10.6 billion dollar agriculture economy! We thank all farmers and ranchers for what they contribute to our essential industry. #AgDay19
